Scheduled Instagram posts are under Menu, then Scheduled content, in the app, or under Content in Meta Business Suite. Edit, delete or find a missing one.

In the Instagram app, open your profile, tap Menu, and tap Scheduled content under Your insights and tools. On a computer, Meta Business Suite lists scheduled posts under Content and in Planner. A scheduling tool keeps its own list, and a post scheduled in one place does not show up in another. These steps follow Instagram's English (US) help article as of November 2026, and labels vary by app version.

Where do you find scheduled posts in the Instagram app?

Open your profile, tap Menu in the top right, and under Your insights and tools tap Scheduled content. Instagram's help article on scheduled posts and Reels gives this path, and it gives a second one.

From your profile:

  1. Tap your profile picture in the bottom right to open your profile.
  2. Tap Menu in the top right.
  3. Under Your insights and tools, tap Scheduled content.

From the post creator:

  1. Tap Create in the top left, or swipe right anywhere in Feed, then tap Post or Reel.
  2. Tap Scheduled to see your scheduled content.

The article is written for the app on a phone. Menu names change between app versions and between countries, so if you do not see the exact words, look for the same item near your insights and tools. The path above is the one Instagram's English (US) article shows now, and Meta can move it in a later version.

Can you see scheduled posts on instagram.com?

Instagram's help article describes scheduled content only in the app, and it does not describe a scheduled-content list on instagram.com. If you work from a computer, the route Meta documents is Meta Business Suite.

To check what is queued from a desktop, sign in to Meta Business Suite with an account that has access to the Instagram profile, which the next section explains. If the post was scheduled in the Instagram app, the app is the place Instagram's own article points to for managing it.

Where are scheduled posts in Meta Business Suite?

In Meta Business Suite on a computer, click Content in the left menu, open the Posts & reels tab and select the Scheduled tab. You can also open Planner for a calendar view. Meta's article on creating and managing posts says your content is organized by status, with tabs for Published, Scheduled, Drafts, Expiring and Expired.

Meta lists these places for each kind of content:

Content Where it appears
Posts and Reels Content, then Posts & reels, then Scheduled
Stories Content, then Stories, then Scheduled
Any type, as a calendar Planner, in a week or month view

Meta's Planner article says Planner shows content that has been published on your Facebook Page or Instagram profile, as well as content that has been scheduled in Meta Business Suite. In Planner you can filter by content type and by platform, which is also a common reason a post seems to vanish: a filter set to Facebook Page hides your Instagram posts.

For Stories, Meta's Stories article says to click the Content tab, then the Stories tab, then choose Active, Scheduled or Archived.

Why is a post I scheduled in another tool not showing on Instagram?

Each scheduling tool keeps its own queue of posts. A post you scheduled in a third-party tool is stored by that tool until it is time to publish, so look in that tool's calendar or queue first.

Meta's pages describe the lists inside Meta's own products. The Planner article refers to content "scheduled in Meta Business Suite", and Instagram's article describes content scheduled from the Instagram app. The Meta pages checked for this guide do not say that a post from a third-party tool appears in the Instagram app's Scheduled content list. If you cannot see a post that you know you scheduled, ask which tool created it.

A simple habit helps. Pick one place to schedule for each account, and write that place down. Two people scheduling the same account from two different tools can leave posts double-booked or lost.

How do you edit, reschedule, delete or publish a scheduled post now?

Open the post's menu in the list where it lives and choose the action. The options depend on where the post was scheduled and on its status.

In the Instagram app. Instagram's article says to tap Options next to the post or Reel you want to change, then choose Delete, Edit post, Reschedule or Share now. Share now publishes it straight away instead of waiting for the scheduled time.

In Meta Business Suite. Go to Content, then Posts & reels, then the Scheduled tab. Click the three-dot icon on the post and choose Manage post. Meta says a post can be edited, rescheduled, moved to drafts or deleted. For a Reel the list also includes changing the date and expiring it. For a Story, Meta says you can publish, reschedule or delete. Meta's article on saving, scheduling and rescheduling posts adds that you can also reschedule from Planner by clicking the post in the calendar and choosing Options.

In Planner. Meta says you can click upcoming posts, Stories and Reels, then click Options and pick reschedule or delete.

Before you delete a post, check whether you want it gone or only moved. Moving it to drafts in Business Suite keeps the content so you can finish it later.

Why can't you find your scheduled post?

Usually the post is in a different tool or account, a filter is hiding it, or it was never scheduled. Work through these checks in order.

  1. Wrong account. In Planner, Meta says to use the dropdown in the top left to select the relevant Facebook Page or Instagram account. A store with several accounts can be looking at the wrong one.
  2. A filter. Clear the content type and platform filters in Planner.
  3. Missing permissions. Meta says that if you cannot see Planner, you may not have the relevant permissions. Posting also needs full control or content permission for the Page or Instagram account.
  4. A draft, not a schedule. If you chose Finish later instead of Schedule, the post is in the Drafts tab, not Scheduled.
  5. It already published. The post moves out of Scheduled when it goes live. Look in the Published tab or on your profile.
  6. It failed. A system error can stop a post. Meta's troubleshooting article says to open Content, then Scheduled, look for an error message on the post and click Publish now.
  7. The Instagram account needs attention. Meta says to log in to the Instagram app and look at any pop-up notifications, because an unresolved issue can block publishing.
  8. Different app version. The Instagram article requires a public account for in-app scheduling, and the menu may sit somewhere else in your version. Update the app and look again.

If none of these explains it, the post may have been scheduled in a tool you do not use any more. Check any connected scheduler that has access to the account.

How do you see scheduled posts for several accounts in one place?

Use one calendar that every scheduled post goes through. If you manage several Instagram accounts or brands, jumping between the Instagram app, Business Suite and a tool for each one is slow and easy to get wrong.

Creavily is a social publishing workspace for ecommerce brands, and its Calendar shows the posts you schedule in Creavily in one place. You schedule in Create, where you pick a Publishing Setup, which is the saved set of accounts and posting defaults a brand usually uses, preview the post and confirm. A confirmation dialog appears before anything is saved, and scheduling does not send the post early. The steps are in the guide to scheduling Instagram posts.

In Calendar:

  • Open the Week view to see every scheduled post by day and time. Each card shows its status and where it will go.
  • To move a post, drag it to a new day or time and confirm the move.
  • Published posts cannot be moved, and a post that is publishing right now is locked.

Publishing Activity shows what was scheduled, what went live and what needs attention, so you can check a failed post without opening each account. Calendar lists what was scheduled in Creavily. A post scheduled directly in the Instagram app or in another tool lives in that tool's list. Instagram, Facebook Pages and Pinterest are examples of Social Accounts; check the platform list on the product page for what is live. The publishing workflow page explains how a post moves from draft to delivery.
